Handcrafted Gond Art inspired by Central India's living traditions, nature, storytelling, and the Gond community's deep connection with the natural world.
Gond Art is a centuries-old tribal art tradition practised by the Gond community, one of India's largest Indigenous communities. Rooted primarily in Central India, particularly present-day Madhya Pradesh, the tradition was historically used to decorate the walls and floors of homes with scenes inspired by nature, festivals, and everyday life.
Gond paintings are recognised for their intricate dots, lines, vibrant colours, and depictions of animals, birds, trees, and folklore. The tradition reflects the Gond belief that elements of nature possess a living spirit, creating artworks where storytelling and the natural world come together.
This collection brings that tradition into contemporary spaces through three handcrafted variations: Enduring Spirit, symbolising strength, freedom, and life's enduring journey; Silent Wisdom, reflecting patience and perseverance; and Playful Forager, celebrating curiosity, playfulness, and abundance.
