| Gond Art is a centuries-old tribal art form practised by the Gond community, one of India's largest Indigenous communities, whose history in Central India spans over 1,400 years. Originating primarily in present-day Madhya Pradesh, the art was traditionally painted on the walls and floors of homes to celebrate nature, festivals, and everyday life. Deeply rooted in the Gond belief that every element of nature possesses a living spirit, the paintings feature animals, birds, trees, and folklore brought to life through intricate dots, lines, and vibrant colours. Today, Gond Art has evolved from village murals to contemporary canvases while preserving its rich cultural heritage. Each handcrafted piece reflects the community's enduring connection to nature, storytelling, and artistic tradition. Available in two handcrafted Variations. Forest Harmony - Three deer beneath a flourishing tree, celebrating the quiet harmony and timeless spirit of nature in Gond art. Forest Grace - An embodiment of grace, gentleness, and harmony with nature. |
